May 9 -11, 2014
In its 46th edition the Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik (Witten Days for New Chamber Music) will take place from the 9th – 11th of May 2014. The programme includes more than 25 world premieres and four German premieres of composers from 11 nations. The renowned festival for contemporary chamber music is jointly organised by the German city of Witten and the broadcasting corporation Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR).
Among several featured Austrian composers, one of this years programme highlights is the 40th anniversary celebration of the Arditti String Quartet – an ensemble that has enriched the contemporary music scene like no other.
