Ultraschall Berlin is a festival for contemporary music and presents a broad spectrum of new premieres, new tendencies, and new artistic constellations. The festival also offers a historical perspective on rediscoveries and examines their relevance in a new and modern context. The vanguard of today and modern classics are juxtaposed to foster a mutually fruitful exchange and create new insights. The festival features musicians that belong to the world’s best performers and guarantees performances of the highest quality. The festival is jointly broadcasted by the German broadcasting corporations Deutschlandradio Kultur and kulturradio rbb.

Among the participants of this year’s prestigious program are Vienna-based Italian composer Pierluigi Billone, and Austrian composers Friedrich Cerha, Clemens Gadenstätter, Gerhard E. Winkler and the ensemble Klangforum Wien:
