For the very first time, mica – music austria is calling for audiovisual entries for the TonBild2011 competition. Musicians and visual artists of all genres are invited to submit their audiovisual works. We are looking for audiovisual works from the year 2011 with a maximum length of 15 minutes. All participating applicants must either be an Austrian citizen or have their main residence in Austria. The choice of music and content is completely up to the artist, experimental visualizations are just as welcome as classic music videos. As part of TonBild 2011, the five best works will be selected by a jury and presented on the 2nd of December 2011 at the traditional annual celebration in the premises of mica.

The musicians and composers of the selected works will receive a portrait on our website www.musicaustria.at, where the best works will be displayed. In addition to an official press release, the winners of the competition will be promoted via the mica-newsletter and the Austrian Music Export newsletter.

We will send you an application form for the competition, in which right-holders have to give permission to show the works publicly on the 2nd of December 2011 and to present them on our website and newsletters as a stream.
Required Documents for Submission:
– Link to audiovisual work (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo)
– Information about the musicians, composers and visual artists (can also be a link to the artist’s website)
– Contact information. Please state a mobile number where the winner can be contacted to discuss details of the presentation.
WARNING: please do not attach any video or music files or photos – the high volume of data would clog our server.
