Tallinn Music Week

The fourth edition of Tallinn Music Week will take place from 29 to 31 March. The mission of this showcase festival and music industry conference is to raise the reputation of Estonian and regional music, to enhance the international development of local music industry and to put Estonia on the map of international music industry.

In three years the festival has gained a notable international reputation and therefore next to Estonia applications have come also from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech, Italy, Austria, Germany, Holland, England, Scotland, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan. 418 bands and artists have sent in applications representing all genres of music from contemporary classical to hard rock music.

Tallinn Music Week will once again fill the city of Tallinn and bring music to the most exciting clubs and concert venues. Kristo Rajasaare, head of programme of the festival comments: “We have been thrilled to witness increasing interest from the artists of our neighbouring countries Finland, Latvia and Lithuania, but also from Russia, Poland, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, UK and other countries. The core of our programming will of course be the up and coming Estonian talent, offering the whole musical spectrum from local metal, punk and dance to folk, singer-songwriter and classical music, but we are excited to showcase also some bright examples of the European music scene.”

Tallinn Music Week festival will take place in 16 key venues of Tallinn, most of them situated in the old town – theatres, bars, music clubs and old legendary cinema halls. The festival will host a line-up of around 150 artists and is looking forward to welcoming around 8000 enthusiastic music fans over 3 nights of an introduction to the region’s hottest talent.
