Reeperbahn Festival 2021 is back! With a full live and in-person lineup, so much awaits artists, professionals and audience members alike! While the whole program will be held in-person from September 22 – 25 in St Pauli, the digital platform will be running strong as well, so everyone around the globe can experience the multifaceted showcase festival and professionals program!

FESTIVAL PLANS 2021

It’s hard to believe that we’ve now been living with state emergency measures for almost one-and-a-half years. And the longing for some form of normality and proper contact is steadily growing! As things stand today though, we can say: The Reeperbahn Festival (RBF) 2021 is happening! With the vaccination campaign forging ahead, an abundance of testing options as well as low rates of cases, the festival organizers can confidently bring the 16th Reeperbahn Festival to the stages of St Pauli from 22 to 25 September 2021.

But it’s not just fans, trade visitors and festival organizers who are thirsting for a face-to-face encounter – countless artists are also looking forward to finally getting back in touch with their audience live:

“I think I echo a similar sentiment as my fellow artists that having to be without live music for the better part of two years was incredibly challenging on every level. But more than anything it was the loss of the special energy that only happens when you have people together experiencing something unique. Having played Reeperbahn Festival before, and having an absolute blast, there is something so energetic and fun and different about it that it feels so right to be the moment when I get to return to performing. Hard to even describe how much I’m looking forward to it.” – William Fitzsimmon

This year’s RBF offers a diverse musical event to audience members, featuring newcomers as well as established acts, in compliance with the regulations that will apply in September and ensuring the safety of visitors, partners, performing artists and staff at all times during the Festival. Alterations and changes to the programme and location arrangements made necessary by the ongoing pandemic are possible and even likely. The festival website will be updated with more detailed information over the next couple of months, of course.

Music Industry Professional Programme

Back at last: For all the music industry delegates, the Reeperbahn Festival Conference Programme is back at the venues in and around the Reeperbahn. It is ready to help make up for lost time in terms of interacting, networking and talking business, live and on location with approximately 100 sessions with 300 speakers as well as numerous partner events offering access to networking sessions, meetings or showcases. More details on the programme are available here.

For all Festival visitors unable to attend in person, our Conference Programme will be available as a digital live stream and an on-demand service. In addition, the digital platform enables all delegates to interact virtually using the numerous chat, meeting and networking options.

Digital Festival Experience

Even though the events are physically back in St. Pauli again, the public Reeperbahn Festival streaming platform will again contain exciting coverage via a live stream or a video-on-demand option. This includes performances of premieres, the ANCHOR Nominee and Wunderkinder – German Music Talent concerts as well as the ARTE Concert Stage recordings and much more.

RBF is so looking forward to seeing everyone again!
