Popfest Wien, Vienna/AT

Coming soon, the Karlsplatz and the surrounding premises in Vienna will once again turn into a spectacular festival site for the Popfest Wien. First launched in 2010, it was Robert Rotifer who built the foundation for the success of this festival and was initially responsible for the line-up, until it was decided to annually switch up the curators. Following last year’s curator Patrick Pulsinger and the amazing number of 60,000 festival visitors, the artists Violetta Parisini and Wolfgang Schlögl have now stuck their heads together and created a long list of over a hundred Austrian bands and artists they would like to see perform at the Popfest Wien 2014. Today this highly anticipated list was unveiled at the official press conference in Vienna.
