Austria won’t only show what its got on the stages of MENT Ljubljana next year; it will be well-represented on the business side as well. After a successful event at the last edition of MENT, Austrian Music Export will once again be hosting a “speed networking” session (imagine a music business version of speed dating) in partnership with the festival and conference, taking place in Ljubljana, Slovenia from February 12-15, 2025. MENT Ljubljana is one of the leading showcase festivals and music conferences in Central and Eastern Europe, and the largest event of its kind in the region. It’s an award-winning event, jam-packed with musical discoveries. Along with the conference, MENT offers musical acts from all over Europe the chance to perform in front of international music professionals. In 2024, 88 artists from 23 countries performed on 16 stages around the Slovenian capital, with Austria represented by ELIS NOA, oh alien, and BEX.

Who can apply?
The program is aimed at music industry professionals and thus primarily at people “behind” the artists – i.e. primarily labels, publishers, management, agencies, venues, promoters, festivals, etc. – from the music genres represented at the MENT (alternative, pop, rock, metal, global, electronic & hip hop). The event is considered particularly useful for entrepreneurs with at least initial experience in international music marketing.
Due to the limited number of participants, only one person per company can be supported.
How do I apply and how will I be selected?
Please send us a short, max. one-page letter of motivation. Include relevant information about yourself that covers your interest and field of work as well as the results you hope to achieve by participating. Please send your documents by December 10th, 2024at the latest to office@musicexport.at.
The number of participants is limited. Participants will be selected by Austrian Music Export. Applicants will receive a formal acceptance or rejection for funding or participation by January 10th, 2025.
A preparation and information workshop will be held for all selected participants at the beginning of February. Details will be communicated in the letter of acceptance.
How does it work?
The concept is simple: 10 tables with chairs. On one side, 10 Austrian music professionals (you being one of them), on the other side 10 selected applicants (delegates will have to apply in advance), who have 4-5 minutes to meet you one-on-one and present their band(s)/roster/ideas/etc.
The speed networking session will be scheduled within the timeframe of the festival (February 12-15, 2025.)
What are the conditions?
The event is organized by MENT and Austrian Music Export. Participation includes hotel accommodation for 3 nights and a pro-pass for all festival/conference days.
