Braga is a smallish city in Portugal, a little inland and just north of Porto, and it has been named the Portuguese cultural capital in 2025. SQUARE, a new showcase festival, will take place from January 29 to February 1, 2025, in and around Braga, Portugal. The festival promises a diverse and representative line-up, bringing together local scenes with artists and industry professionals spanning the continent of Europe and beyond.
The festival is seeking artists who work and reside on the three continents bordered by the Atlantic Ocean – Africa, the Americas, and Europe; proposals in any musical genre, with any configuration, and featuring music produced in any language will be considered.
Just the facts
The call for artists is open until July 31, 2024; successful applicants will be notified by September. If chosen, your act will receive a performance fee of €750, as well as catering, accommodation for those living more than 60km from the festival, a technical rider, and a backline.
