Media Innovation Orchestra (MIO) and the Technochoir are searching for young composers in Film and Media Scoring. Their compositions will be recorded within a live session and concert by MIO and Technochoir in 2021. The composition should be arranged for classic orchestra with band (sax, dr, percussion, e-guitar, e-bass), as well as integrated choir parts. The deadline for submissions has been extended to October 30th, 2021.
Technochoir, together with the Media Innovation Orchestra (MIO) would like to set an impulse for media music and film music with this composition competition. Composers from all over the world are invited to submit their pieces – the three best compositions for choir, orchestra, band and electronics, selected by a jury, will be premiered at the festival concert in the Karl-Borromäus-Saal in Vienna on November 27th, 2021. The deadline for submissions has been extended to October 30th, 2021.
The competition offers composers the opportunity to make their compositions resound in the festival hall. In addition, compositions by composer Dara Navrodska, composed especially for the Technochor and MIO, will be premiered. Also performed will be the Symphonie per l’Europa by Nelly Li Puma. In addition, young musicians are also invited to support the MIO in its concert. The Media Innovation Orchestra is therefore calling for auditions for the November concert.

Composers of any nationality/gender/age are eligible to apply. The works submitted to the competition must not have been performed, published or awarded before.
