As part of the Colombia Work Exchange (CWX) project, Waves Vienna and Austrian Music Export are inviting local music professionals to network intensively with colleagues from Colombia, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic and gain insights into their music markets. The program goes from March 28th to April 3rd, 2025 during which 5 countries will be visited by bus. Deadline to apply is March 7th.

Application details
We are looking for three music professionals from Austria to take part in the entire tour with the delegation from Colombia and three participants each from Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
The program is primarily aimed at music professionals from all genres who are already internationally active and plan to work in Colombia or with Colombian partners. However, artists who represent themselves are also eligible.
The bus trip from Vienna (3/29) and accommodation in all cities outside Vienna will be organized and financed for the participants and meals will be offered as part of the programme. Participation in all program points is mandatory.
Background & Vision
For small markets like those in the CEE region, expanding into long-haul markets is challenging due to high costs and limited resources. By combining efforts and leveraging EU funding through LiveMX, CWX enables meaningful connections with Colombia’s thriving music industry.

CWX is bringing seven Colombian music professionals to Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic for a seven-day exchange. Each city will host workshops, networking sessions and showcases that promote collaboration between local and Colombian industry players. Market insights & strategy development
After the tour, selected delegates will attend the Sharpe Festival in Bratislava to host in-depth workshops on market entry strategies and promote joint projects and long-term collaboration.

CWX strengthens international partnerships, opens up new business opportunities and strengthens the global reach of CEE music. By learning from Colombia’s structured music support system, CEE professionals gain insights that can benefit their own markets.
