Austrian Music Export launched the BUILDING BRIDGES project in 2023 with a focus on training and international exchange. The program is aimed at music industry professionals and thus primarily at people “behind” the artists – i.e. primarily labels, publishers, management, agencies, etc. Our next mission takes us to the Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival, which takes place from January 15-18, 2025 in Groningen, the Netherlands. The deadline to apply is November 7th.
Every year, around 280 bands perform at ESNS in front of an audience of 40,000 visitors, more than 400 festival organizers, 37 EBU radio stations, 465 journalists and more than 4,000 professionals (labels, booking agencies, publishers, etc.) from the European music industry. The ESNS conference offers numerous networking formats and exciting panels, workshops and presentations and is THE meeting place for the European music industry.
In addition to the offers within the framework of the festival and the conference, Austrian Music Export will also organize a special networking event for Austrian participants, participation in which is mandatory.
APPLICATION DETAILS
The program is primarily aimed at music business people from the music genres represented at the ESNS (alternative, pop, rock, metal, electronic & hip hop) – these are primarily the economically active people “behind” the artists; i.e. labels, publishers, management, agencies. The trip is considered particularly useful for entrepreneurs with at least initial experience in international music marketing.
Due to the limited number of participants, only one person per company can be supported.
How do I apply and how will I be selected?
Please send us a short, max. one-page letter of motivation. Include relevant information about yourself that covers your interest and field of work as well as the results you hope to achieve by participating. Please send your documents by Nov. 7, 2024 at the latest to office@musicexport.at.
The number of participants is limited. Participants will be selected by Austrian Music Export; applicants will receive a formal acceptance or rejection for funding or participation by Nov. 12, 2024.
A preparation and information workshop will be held for all selected participants at the beginning of December; details will be communicated in the letter of acceptance.
What does it cost?
The mission is organized by Austrian Music Export and co-financed by LSG Producers and the Association of the Film and Music Industry.
These funds will be used to provide participants with a delegate pass for the conference and festival (worth 510 euros) as well as a lump-sum contribution towards travel and accommodation costs of 500 euros per person. Travel, accommodation and individual meals are to be financed by the participants themselves.
