Nouvelle Prague is the first-ever showcasing festival in the Czech Republic, primarily focused on overseas bands and held in the heart of Prague. Following last year’s successful premiere, the international music conference and showcase festival is taking place for the second time in the premises of the Staropramen brewery on 7-8 November, 2014.
Nouvelle Prague 2014 will focus on Central European Markets. Keynotes will be given by Robert Porkert (Live Nation Czech Republic, concert promoter) and Carl Leighton-Pope, the MD of the Leighton-Pope Organisation. Further speakers include Rob Challice (CODA), Jack Shankly (Domino Records), Malcolm Haynes (Glastonbury Festival), Zlata Holusova (CEO/Promoter Colours of Ostrava Festival, with over 30,000 visitors one of the largest music events in the country), Michal Kascak (CEO of Slovakia’s Pohoda Festival) and Nick Hobbs of Charmenko.
The second edition of the Nouvelle Prague festival will once again take place in Prague’s hype district of Smíchov. This year, Belgian indie-pop Balthazar and Czech rising stars Zrní will headline the two-day indoor event. While Nouvelle Prague focuses mainly on overseas artists, this year the line-up will feature four Czech showcasing acts and includes artists like The Feud (UK), Ball Park Music (AUS), Skyroads (ISR), Vložte kočku (CZ) and more.
