From the 3rd – 6th of October 2013, Vienna will once again witness the third edition of the Waves Vienna Festival & Conference. As in the past two years, the festival stays true to its motto “East meets West” and sets the spotlight on two European guest countries. This year Belgium and Slovenia will be featured throughout the entire conference and showcase program. Although these countries are not that far away from Austria, there is still a lot to find out about their vibrant and manifold music scenes.
This year Waves Vienna will hopefully be able to fill the knowledge gap with various concerts and conference panels. To get a first impression of the musical ongoings and markets in Belgium and Slovenia, Austrian Music Export has compiled some basic information on the music scenes in both countries.
