MTN BUSHFIRE is very excited to once again welcome festivalgoers to the beautiful Malkerns Valley in Eswatini, from 27-29th May! They’re going to #REIGNITETHEFIRE with their first full in-person festival in two years. Rooted in Africa and packaged to the world, MTN Bushfire’s line-up has always embraced the eccentric and unearthed the eclectic. Among the artists this year is Austrian-Peruvian artist, singer-songwriter and producer GAVRIELA!
Music, dance, spoken word – all forms of creative expression engage and enlighten us with powerful messages and memorable performances.
In true MTN Bushfire style, the line-up this year will feature a wholesome mix of pan-African and international artists from across different genres who do more than simply entertain, but use their art as a powerful form of creative expression. Numbers, and therefore tickets, will be limited this year as one of the numerous Covid-safety protocols being carried out, so don’t miss out on the chance to purchase tickets!
GAVRIELA
GAVRIELA is an Austrian-Peruvian artist, singer-songwriter and producer who is known for her ethereal tribal pop musical-spheres and spiritual visual experiences. Hailing from Salzburg and classically trained as a child, she combines her diverse heritage, merging orchestral and electronic elements with the raw rhythms of the world to evoke the human spirit and experience. Having lived in Berlin for the first years of her artistic project, she is now travelling the inner and outer world to discover new spheres of creation and consciousness while preparing the new release of her debut EP ‘HATARIY’ (meaning ‘The Awakening’ in Quechua, the indigenous Inca language). Gavriela’s performance is supported by the Austrian Embassy Pretoria.
