For the fifth year in a row, Indirekt Festival in Umag, Croatia, gathers the local and regional independent scene and stages some of the best kept musical secrets in Europe. The team behind Indirekt Music & Art Festival started in 2013 and has since then brought over 50 acts – both music and arts – to Croatia. Umag is a little town on the Western coast of Istria. While the center of the town is the focus point of street art happenings and exhibitions, the music part is held on several different locations.
Indirekt goes International
While Istria is famous for numerous electronic festivals, Indirekt stands out with it’s intimate atmosphere, positive vibe and wide selection of genres. The goal of the festival is to connect with the region as well as to create a broader network for the local music and arts lovers. This year, the program features artists from 7 countries – including GIUNGLA (ITA), GROZNYCORP. (BIH), DAS UNIVERZITAS (CRO) or HIS CLANCYNESS (ITA), TORUL (SLO) and TI (SRB). From Austria, shoegaze newcomers MOLLY, noise pop heroes MILE ME DEAF and the indie rock duo CARI CARI will join the festival line-up.
Indirekt Festival takes place from 1st–4th June 2017, at Kamp Veli Jože in Savudrija, Umag.
