Gasmac Gilmore will be the international act, together with Swiss 77 Bombay Street, during a musical evening in Milan on Thursday, February 14, 2013. The evening is organized by Arezzo Wave Love Festival, a well-known and long-standing Italian music festival based in Tuscany, as a side event of the international tourism fair BIT (Bourse of International Tourism).
Arezzo Wave and the Region Tuscany offer a mix of the best Tuscan music and two international acts. The international focus of the evening will be 77 Bombay Street and Gasmac Gilmore who both just performed at Eurosonic Festival 2013. The night will be broadcasted live on Radio Popolare, partner of the evening and one of the most important networks in Italy.
The evening, aptly named “Playing Toscana”, will be held Thursday, February 14th at Alcatraz in Milan, one of the most prestigious Italian locations. Italian bands and musicians on the bill are: Erriquez and Finaz (voice and guitar of Bandabardò), together with “Matti delle Giuncaie” and guitarist Riccardo Onori (from Jovanotti band), all together for a new project “Polisportiva del vinsanto”. There also will be Musica Nuda with Petra Magoni and Ferruccio Spinetti (voice and bass), the young “The Venkmans” and “The King of the Opera”, an unusual couple formed by Alessandro Fiori and Francesco Moneti (violin of Modena City Ramblers).
Arezzo Wave is a famous Italian music festival taking place every July since 1987. More than one-hundred free shows of up-coming Italian and international bands as well as big names from all over the world take place for five days on twelve different stages and make the festival one of the most important events linking Italy and Europe. After several years of traveling Italy (Florence, Livorno, Lecce) and the subsequent renaming in Italia Wave Love Festival, in 2012 the festival returned to its hometown Arezzo. The event focusses on music but also includes theater, literature, comics, dance and art.
Past line-ups included well-known international acts such as Kaiser Chiefs, !!! (chk chk chk), Mando Diao, Tinariwen, Jimi Tenor, Editors, Groove Armada, Faithless and Ok Go.
