Since it’s inception in 1994, the Sónar Festival in Barcelona has developed into one of the most important festivals for established artists and new talent in the field of electronic music. Each year, internationally renowned musicians, developer, filmmakers, designers, scientists and multimedia artists gather at Sónar to value the experimental nature of both art and music.

In 2019, the Austrian artists ANGER and Christian Fennesz will perform at Sónar in Barcelona. From July 17-20, the festival also presents the likes of A$AP Rocky, Arca, DJ Koze, Four Tet, Louie Vega & Honey Dijon, Skepta, and Underworld. On top of the impressive line-up, the conference part Sónar+D explores technological innovations in the fields of AI, music and sound tech, experience design and quantum computing.
Sónar is also part of the European festival network “We Are Europe” together with c/o pop Festival, Unsound Festival, Austria´s very own Elevate Festival, Nuits Sonores Festival and more.
