The Gap and FM4‘s audience poll to choose the artist who will grace the Europe Stage at Budapest’s annual Sziget Festival has concluded. This year’s pick: FARCE.
Every summer, the Danube Island in Budapest is transformed for a few days into a so-called “Island of Freedom”: it’s the Sziget Festival, happening this year from the 10th – 15th of August and featuring a star-studded international lineup (this year’s headliners include Billie Eilish, Florence + The Machine and Imagine Dragons, among many others).
Each year, too, FM4 and The Gap magazine ask Austrian pop music fans to choose their favorite act from a selection of nominees to play on the festival’s Europe Stage – the Sziget Sundowner – and the fans have spoken: This year’s envoy from Austria is FARCE.
FARCE says: “It means so much to me that so many friends and fans voted – and maybe people I didn’t even know were rooting for me…I think it’s going to be a very, very beautiful festival summer!” Congratulations to FARCE on being selected!
