The Elevate Festival is an annual 5-day interdisciplinary festival in Graz focusing on cultural, political, and society issues. Its unique program of concerts, performances, lectures, and other events connects political discourse with art, avant-garde electronic music, and audiovisual experiment; the festival will take place this year from February 28 – March 3.
It’s a big year for anniversaries: along with NASOM, MENT, and mica – music austria, the storied Elevate Festival is celebrating its 20th year. As usual, the festival will be bringing a wildly diverse program of art, culture, and politically themed events (and every imaginable combination of the three) to the Styrian capital city of Graz.
Austrian acts
Elevate’s roster of artists – both international and domestic – never fails to challenge and impress, and this year is no exception. The Austrian acts at the festival are a mixture of established iconoclasts and underground heroes, including artists like Kenji Araki, dieb13, Gischt, Maja Osojnik, Radian, the ambient duo seventeen eleven, and a sound installation called “Music for Elevators” by Dorian Concept. The complete music program can be accessed on Elevate’s lineup page.
Press and networking Event
The Elevate Festival and Austrian Music Export are pleased to invite you to a press and partner reception on Friday, March 1 at 11 a.m. in the Van den Berg Gewürzhaus in Graz.
