Tickets are now on sale for next year’s Sound City + conference, which will take place on Friday 4th May across Liverpool city centre’s Baltic Triangle. The Sound City + conference is the destination business event of the North for music and the arts, and will be a pre-cursor to 2018’s Liverpool Sound City festival which takes place on 5th and 6th May.
This year will build on the success of the past decade which has hosted keynote speakers including Black Ice, Wayne Coyne (The Flaming Lips), Edwyn Collins (Orange Juice), plus in conversations with Justin Hayward-Young & Freddie Cowan (The Vaccines), Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), The Wombats, Everything Everything, Julian Cope (The Teardrop Explodes) Gruff Rhys, Bastille, Gabriella Cilmi, Viv Albertine (The Slits), Scott Booker (Hellfire Records), Mark E Smith (The Fall), and in 2018 Sound City will raise the bar yet again, with Sound City+ featuring more incisive speakers, discussions, and opportunities for delegates to meet the great and the good of the international music and digital industries.
