DongDong is the new international meeting point for music in China. It provides a stage to showcase the creativity and vitality of the independent music scene of China, Asia and the rest of the world. DongDong is a 4 day event, including a convention with conferences debates and workshops open to professionals and a festival open to everyone spread out over many venues of Dongcheng district, the lively cultural corner of Beijing.
After a successful first edition which gathered over 200 local and international professionals from the music sector and staged 30 acts hailing from the 4 corners of the world, DongDong Event, the mini but mighty festival and music convention is coming back this November.
DongDong sticks to the mission of providing a platform for artists and pros in the lively city centre of Beijing, create opportunities for everyone to meet up, connect, mingle, have fun, and engage collaborations while catering the audience with a diverse program full of fresh, upcoming, as well as more confirmed artists from China and around the globe.
This year the festival invites delegates to wander between YugongYishan, DDC, Dada and Migas to catch synth rock from Barcelona, Maloya from Reunion Island, delicious vintage pop from Denmark, but also the latest sensations from Changsha and a whole lot of greasy Rock’n’roll. Also, DongDong launches a tour for a selection of its artists who will be playing in several cities across China.
