Building Bridges header

The Music Biennale Zagreb (MBZ), together with Austrian Music Export, invites Austrian music professionals and creators to participate in MBZ PRO, the Professionals Program of MBZ 2025 on the last weekend of the festival from the 10th-12th of April, 2025 as part of the “Building Bridges” program, which is co-financed by LSG Producers and the Association of the Film and Music Industry. Application deadline: March 3rd, 2025.

Founded in 1961 as an artistic platform that connects worlds divided by the musical avant-garde, the MBZ celebrates its 33rd edition this year from April 5 to 12, 2025. The Professionals Programme MBZ PRO invites you to explore the artistic program, participate in informal networking meetings with local, regional and international artists, get to know the new artistic directors –  Tomislav OliverDavor Vincze and Ivan Skender  – and work on possible future collaborations.

This year’s festival theme “Broken Relationships” is inspired by MBZ’s partnership with the world-traveling Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb. Through concerts, events, installations, talks and workshops, the festival will explore themes of fragility and imperfection, trust and reconciliation, disruption and continuity.

The full festival program will be announced in the course of February 2025.

The MBZ provides participants with a festival pass that allows free access to all concerts (within capacity limits), festival activities and exclusive MBZ PRO networking events. Austrian Music Export supports music professionals with travel expenses as part of the “Building Bridges” program.
