Bucharest International Jazz Competition

Bucharest International Jazz Competition will be celebrating its 9th edition between May 16-23, 2015. The competition, organized by jmEvents, will take place during the International Festival EUROPAfest 2015, a festival synonymous with performance, professionalism and elegance. The competition promises to bring unforgettable meetings, emotion, vivid concerts, thrilled audience, atmosphere and innovation, by combining concerts with jam sessions, workshops and jazz master-classes.
Bucharest International Jazz Competition is truly an explosion of color and energy. Everything happens in the blink of a moment, with talent, inspiration and improvisation. During the 9 editions, it gained the reputation of the most powerful competition in the region, presenting well defined projects, with vision, with novel themes, from the greatest jazz centers in the world.
From the USA to India, the best jazz artists of the new generation will come to Bucharest to perform in amazing concerts. With an attractive concept, the event captures the attention of the public: there is emotion, high stakes, competition, enthuziasm and many applauses from the audience. The winner is chosen by a jury composed of artists and teachers, personalities of the international jazz world.
The 2015 edition has been launched. Under the moto „100% jazz and more” the event promises evenings full of creativity and freedom of expression, for those already in love with jazz and for those interested to discover it.
