Baldachin Performing in Mexico this October

Known for their unique and stylistically open approach, the music of the Viennese trio Baldachin takes listeners on a rich and varied sonic journey that crosses multiple genres and regions – from the Alps, through to the Danube metropolis Vienna, the vast plains of Eastern Europe, eventually to India, and even to the Mississippi Delta. A thrilling and entertaining musical road trip that invites you to sit back and enjoy the ride.

By successfully merging various elements of world music with jazz, rock, blues, and traditional Indian music, Baldachin manage to break down stylistic borders and explore new musical territories. Besides the broad understanding for creating dynamic and captivating songs, and the tremendous instrumental skills of the band members Lukas Schiemer (saxophone), Benjamin Schiemer (guitar, sitar) and Niklas Satanik (hang, percussion), it is their noticeable passion and enthusiasm that adds an extra atmospheric layer to their music.

Baldachin’s profoundly foreseen visit to Mexico is sealed with four dates in October this year. As part of the “Festival Internacional Cervantino México“, a festival organized by several initiatives to support the community, Baldachin will not only perform live, but also share their experiences with local students.
