FAT – Fabulous Austrian Trio

FAT, short for Fabulous Austrian Trio, came together in 2004 just before bandleader, Alex Machacek – Europe’s „Guitar Newcomer 98“ – relocated from Vienna, Austria to Los Angeles. Over the years, Alex continued to keep this trio alive whenever he travelled to Europe. When drummer Herbert Pirker and bassist Raphael Preuschl travelled to LA in 2016, the trio played a concert at the legendary “Baked Potato”. Back in Europe they were invited to play at the OutreachFestival, the Jazz Festival Leibnitz and the Bayrischer Rundfunk.  After a couple of gigs and touring Europe in 2017 FAT immediately continued to work on their latests album: “#Awesome” has been released in April 2018.

Marina and the Kats

Racy gypsy guitars, nimble melodies, airy snare drums and Marina‘s uniquely charming voice conflate into a nostalgic cocktail. The world’s smallest Big Band played their first show in February 2015 and has been touring ever since. Marina & The Kats take you on a journey into the times of Django Reinhart and Cab Calloway, the Divas and the Crooners, the Lindy Hops and the Collegiate Shags, and you still land softly in the here and now.
