The 20th anniversary edition of award ceremony AMADEUS AUSTRIAN MUSIC AWARDS has been presented via TV on Sept, 10.. Conchita Wurst led charmingly through the TV evening on Austrian public TV broadcaster, ORF 1.
And the Amadeus goes to…
Bilderbuch won two categories at once. The band was voted best “live act of the year presented by oeticket.com” and awarded as best “Pop/Rock” band. Seiler und Speer received the award for the “Song of the Year presented by Hitradio Ö3” for their song “Herr Inspektor” and Voodoo Jürgens won an Amadeus Award for his album “‘S klane Glücksspiel”. As “songwriter of the year presented by AKM/austromechana” Lemo was awarded for the song “Alte Seele”. Winners of the category “Best Sound presented by FAMA” are 5K HD for their album “High Performer”. The FM4-Award went to dream-pop duo Anger. André Heller received the golden lifetime achievement award from President Alexander Van der Bellen. In the other genre categories My Ugly Clementine (Alternative), Parov Stelar (Electronic/Dance), Russkaja (Hard&Heavy), 5/8erl in Ehr’n (Jazz/World/Blues), Raf Camora (HipHop/Urban) and Melissa Naschenweng (Schlager/Volksmusik) made the race.
