5K HD

5K HD combine jazz, sound experiments, pop, and cinematic surprises. The ensemble is also expert at creating a subtle kind of funk. 5K HD released their debut “And To In A” https://5khd.lnk.to/AndToInA to international critical acclaim in 2017, followed by lauded performances at Ment Ljubljana and Europavox. 5K HD consist of well-known musicians from the Austrian band Kompost 3, Martin Eberle (trumpets), Benny Omerzell (keys), Manu Mayr (bass) and Lukas König (drums) and singer Mira Lu Kovacs of Schmieds Puls.

AVEC

AVEC appeared out of nowhere in 2015. Inspired by the likes of Bon Iver, John Mayer, The Lumineers, Oscar and the Wolf, Kings of Leon, Daughter, RYX, AVEC succeeds in creating her own language, where her imagination and ideas come together in her music.
23-year-old AVEC won a loyal fan base early on, showcased at renowned festivals, such as the internationally acclaimed The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, and has been touring a lot. Today her song “Granny” has been streamed almost 6 million times on Spotify. In 2018 AVEC released her second album. “Heaven/Hell” reveals itself as the step forward many had hoped for. On Jan 16 she will be awarded the first Music Moves Europe Talent Awards.

At Pavillon

At Pavillon move beyond the typical rock sounds and have found their style somewhere amid the disco lights, taking inspiration from film-classics of the 70’s and 80’s. Packed with funky arrangements straight from the dance-floor of Saturday Night Fever, songs by At Pavillon got radio airplay from Austria to Australia, from the USA to France. In 2018 first there was “All Eyes On You“, then “Stop This War”, both singles were instant hits. In autumn 2018 At Pavillon released “Lions” which resembles the self-confident manifest of this band. At Pavillon already performed at Austria´s FM4 Frequency Festival and showcased at the renowned Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg.

Dorian Concept

Dorian Concept first reached people´s attraction via web with virtuosic video footage of himself shredding on a microKORG in late 2000s. In the span of a few years he had caught the attention of such sonic agenda-setters as Gilles Peterson, Benji B and Mary Anne Hobbs; released a flurry of EPs; performed with The Cinematic Orchestra at Royal Albert Hall; joined the ranks of other promising upstarts at Red Bull Music Academy; got spotted by Flying Lotus and invited to tour in his live band. After finding a home on Ninja Tune, he enjoyed underground success with the release of an album, dizzyingly intricate singles which made the rounds on experimental dancefloors worldwide, and subsequent live touring from Glastonbury to Sonar to MoMA PS1’s Warm Up. Having spent the past four years largely off the radar Dorian Concept re-emerges the release of “The Nature of Imitation” (Brainfeeder).

Mavi Phoenix

What once started as spontaneous support act for Bilderbuch in 2016, followed up with the same management and an instant career. Not least because of the fact that Mavi Phoenix is always super natural, cool and smart at the same time. In 2017, Mavi Phoenix released “Young Prophet” (LLT Records) and was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award. A string of well received singles followed, with Aventura becoming one of the most viral songs of 2017. International tours and appearances at major festivals like Primavera Festival, The Great Escape or Rock am Ring/im Park quickly gave the young artist an international profile. In October 2018 Mavi Phoenix released her second EP “Young Prophet II”.

MOLLY

Listening to the songs from the Tyrolean band Molly is almost like being on an endless journey through a cloud filled dreamscape. Molly is comprised of two young musicians, Lars Andersson (vocals, guitar) and Phillip Dornauer (drums, sass, synthesizer). They have dedicated themselves to the post-rock shoegaze genre, a sound made famous in the 90’s by legendary bands like My Bloody Valentine and the Boo Radleys. They bring something new to the story, a very independent flavour that develops a rather idiosyncratic vibe.
Molly has already managed to make a name for themselves inside of Austria and are now touring intensely abroad to leave their mark on the international stage.

Naked Cameo

The young band Naked Cameo shifts between electronica, pop und r´n´b with organic beats and extensive synths. Their debut album “Of Two Minds” (Futuresfuture) was released to critical acclaim in March 2018 and was produced by Marco Kleebauer (Leyya). Naked Cameo already performed at Waves Vienna Festival, Donauinselfest and Ahoi Pop In September 2018 Naked Cameo played at the renowned Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg.

Petrol Girls

Petrol Girls are a feminist post hardcore punk band, originally formed in London, now all based in Austria. Rooted in a DIY music community that has always combined politics with punk rock, the band is constantly developing musically as well as politically. They name a diverse range of influences such as Refused, The Slits, Fugazi and Björk. Petrol Girls supported bands such as The Dead Kennedys, Propagandhi, RVIVR, Anti Flag and Refused. Petrol Girls are named after Pétroleuses, mythical women of the Paris commune who allegedly set fire to private property with Molotov cocktails made from milk bottles, and rejected traditional gender roles. Their latest EP “The Future Is Dark” was released in September 2018 and is named after a quote by Virginia Woolf. Petrol Girls also performed at the Reeperbahn Festival.

Thorsteinn Einarsson

Thorsteinn Einarsson rightly deserves his fixed place in Austria’s musical landscape. At the age of 22, the singer/songwriter can already look back on very significant achievements. In 2015 he won an Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category „Songwriter of the year“ for his first hit single “Leya”. His debut album „1;“ (one continued) instantly reached Number 6 on the Austrian album charts. The released singles from this album were streamed more than 7 million times, reached over 2 million views on Youtube and were played over 15.000 times on Austrian radios. Now the journey continues. In September 2018 Thorsteinn Einarsson released “Genesis“, the 2nd single of his much anticipated sophomore album “Ingi”.
