“5 Million Pesos” is a monthly concert series presented by ORF RadioKulturhaus and the radio Ö1 jazz department. Every month, one up-and-coming jazz act is selected to be highlighted on air and live at the Vienna RadioCafe.
Graceful And Surprising Song Poems
The Slovenian singer Tjaša Fabjančič, who lives in Graz/Austria, is renewing her cooperation with her long-time musical companions Michael Lagger (piano) and Robert Jukič (double bass) for her album “Miniaturen”, presented in the “5 Million Pesos” concert series. The songs move from jazz to songwriting and poetry, Fabjančič sings in English, Slovenian and, for the first time, German, and the program also includes two poems set to music. This results in amalgamations of text and sound with a chamber-music like intimacy, sparkling and touching, graceful and full of surprises.
