“5 Million Pesos” is the monthly concert series of young jazz in and from Austria, a presentation of Radiokulturhaus Vienna and the Ö1 jazz department. The next concert, taking place on October 13th at Vienna’s RadioCafe, will feature the trio PRIM.

Since 2015, Rosenheim native Felix Biller and Lower Austrian musicians Martin Melzer and Christoph Karas have been refining the sound of their Vienna trio PRIM – dynamic and full of surprises, their playing is easily digestible and catchy without being predictable, full of metric and harmonic details sure to make even connoisseurs prick up their ears. Among their influences, the trio names the legendary Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Johann Sebastian Bach – and a whole lot in between.
In the eight years of its existence, PRIM has managed to develop an exciting and individual musical signature. The trio’s upcoming 5 Million Pesos concert will present their new album Meridian Steps (Alessa Records).
