Saxophonist Vitus Denifl and his Danish duo partner Jacob Gregersen (electric bass) have been working together since 2021, creating wide, repetitive sound spaces with reduced musical means, influenced by jazz as well as Indian and Caribbean music.
Denifl’s and Gregersen’s compositions are sometimes characterized by a trance-like pull, then again tend towards the poetic and melancholic. Both musicians deal a lot with movement and dance, which can be experienced as a physical quality in their music. A breath of fresh air from the Salzach!
