35th International Jazzfestival Saalfelden

For more than thirty years, the International Jazzfestival Saalfelden has been a stage for free spirits. Each year at the end of August, musicians from all over the world gather in this small town in Salzburg’s Pinzgau region to delight visitors with refreshing and colorful landscapes of sound. From August 28 to 31, 2014, it’s that time again and Saalfelden will turn into the center of the European jazz world. On four days, thirty-two concerts will take place at seven venues.
As in previous years, the program is curated by artistic directors Michaela Mayer and Mario Steidl, who have already commissioned the festival’s opening project. Salzburg-born Philipp Nykrin will kick-off the 35th Jazzfestival Saalfelden on Friday, August 29, with a world premiere featuring an international line-up of musicians.
