Looking back at 13 years of INK MUSIC in the music business game, a lot has happened over the years in the Austrian indie music scene. Based in Vienna, INK MUSIC is a combination of good taste, good connections and a lot of hard work. While the label’s expertise covers a wide range of label activities, booking, promotion, publishing, sync-rights and even offers a music academy, INK MUSIC stays true to its claim and operates more like a circle of friends. Rather than tying their artists down to the label with exclusive contracts, the team around CEO Hannes Tschürtz takes the creative freedom and development of the bands and musicians very seriously. Of course the financial aspect is also important, but it comes after INK MUSIC’s driving forces: quality, credibility and enthusiasm.
The success of INK MUSIC speaks for itself. As a steadily growing company, INK MUSIC still maintains its ideological principles and sees itself as a platform for people who regard music as a living source of inspiration for creative work, as a driving impulse for social interaction and as fuel for discourse and development processes.
